Man arrested on the Gold Coast over shooting murder of notorious NSW bikie

A MAN has been arrested on the Gold Coast over the murder of a notorious bikie in central New South Wales.

Bandidos Central West Chapter President, Shane De Britt, was killed at a property in Eurimbla on the morning of January 14.

The 60-year-old has been shot in the head execution style.

The State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad, assisted by Criminal Groups Squad and Orana Mid-Western Police District detectives, commenced a major investigation to track down those responsible.

So far seven people have been charged for their alleged roles in the crime.

On Sunday evening, Queensland Police arrested a 32-year-old man at a truck stop on the Gold Coast under the authority of an NSW arrest warrant.

He faced Southport Magistrates Court on Monday and was extradited over the border.

He has since been charged with murder, participate in criminal group contribute group activity and possess unauthorised firearm.

He is expected to appear in Tweed Heads Local Court later today.
