A man’s been charged over a robbery in Southport.
Police say he walked into a bottle shop on Musgrave Avenue at around 4:20 pm on Sunday but was told he’d had too much to drink so wouldn’t be served.
He’s accused of spitting at the man on duty and hurling two cans of alcohol at him before running off with three bottles of spirits.

Police went to the bottlo and arrested a man. The staffer wasn’t hurt.
A 26-year-old man has been charged with one count each of common assault, robbery, contravene a direction and possession of dangerous drugs.
He is due to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on June 6.
