Man arrested in Qld, extradited to NSW over historical sex offences

A man has been arrested in Queensland for an outstanding warrant for historical sex offences.

Police said that in March this year, detectives launched an investigation after receiving information relating to alleged sex offences from the 1980’s.

Following ongoing inquiries, an arrest warrant was granted for a 70-year-old man to be extradited from Queensland to New South Wales.


The man was taken to Botany Police Station yesterday and charged with three counts of assault female and commit act of indecency and two counts of assault and commit act of indecency.

He is due to appear at Waverley Local Court today.
