French police have shot and arrested a man, after a car ploughed into a group of six soldiers at a barracks near Paris, injuring two of them severely.
The incident occurred during the changeover of soldiers stationed at Place de Verdun around 9am local time on Wednesday.
Immediately after the attack, the driver fled in his vehicle.

Police used security footage to track the vehicle down and a dramatic car chase followed.
The man is reported to be a 37-year-old Paris man who was not on the national security list.
He was shot five times during the arrest and has been taken to hospital in a serious condition. He’s likely to be charged on terrorism offences.
It’s believed a police officer was also injured by a stray bullet during the arrest.
