Man arrested after teen stabbed in Sydney

AN 18-year-old man has been arrested and charged after a teenage boy was stabbed at a house in Sydney’s south-west.

Police said the 17-year-old boy was stabbed multiple times at the Kenilworth Street address around 7.20pm on Monday.

He was taken to Liverpool Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

Following investigations, detectives arrested an 18-year-oldman on George Street in Liverpool on Tuesday morning.

He was taken to Liverpool Police Station for questioning and has since been charged with recklessly inflicting grievous bodily harm in company.

He was refused bail and scheduled to appear before Liverpool Local Court yesterday afternoon.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who may have information that could assist with their inquiries to contact them at Green Valley Police Station via Crime Stoppers.
