A man will front court today after allegedly assaulting a man while trying to steal his car.
The 22-year-old victim walked outside his Blacktown home at 10.40pm on Sunday when he saw the man standing near his car that was parked in the driveway.
It’s understood he noticed items had been moved about the car and confronted the man.

A struggle broke out, before the 22-year-old’s family and neighbours came out to help and detained the man until police arrived.
The 44-year-old was arrested and taken to Blacktown Police Station, where he was charged with steal from motor vehicle, enter vehicle without consent of owner, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
He was granted conditional bail, to appear before Blacktown Local Court on August 1.
The younger man was treated at the scene by Ambulance Paramedics for minor injuries but declined to go to hospital.
