Man assaulted, robbed and abducted from Gold Coast hotel

A man has been bashed at a hotel in Miami before being abducted, robbed and dumped in Brisbane.

A group of men went to the hotel on the Gold Coast Highway around 12.30am, assaulting a 38-year-old man from Mudgeeraba.

The group stole his wallet before forcing him into a black BMW.

The car was driven between the Gold Coast and Brisbane with the group stealing money from the man’s bank accounts on the way.

He was later forced out of the car on Haig Rd in Auchenflower before alerting a member of the public who called Police.

The man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The black BMW was later found by Police in Greensopes just after 4am.

A 40-year-old man who was found with the car was taken into custody and is assisting Police.

Police are seeking anyone with any further information or footage of the incident to contact them.
