Man attacked by axe wielding intruder at Brisbane jewellery store
A man has reportedly been attacked with an axe during an armed hold up at a jewellery store in Brisbane.
Police and paramedics were called to the jewellers in the city’s inner northern suburb of Albion at around 3.30pm.
ABC reporter Josh Bavas said a man had been attacked by an “axe wielding intruder” inside the store.
The victim is believed to be an employee of the business.
He has reportedly suffered serious head injuries.
His exact condition is not known.
Police have swooped on the area and cordoned off the store which has been declared a crime scene.
Officers are now said to be searching for not one, but two offenders.
