A woman has been charged after a man was attacked with a meat cleaver during a domestic incident in Warrawong overnight.
Police said that around 6.45pm, a 47-year-old woman and a 56-year-old man became involved in an argument at a unit block on Kully Way.
It’s understood the woman allegedly armed herself with a meat clever and hit the man, causing a laceration to his left shoulder.

The man was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Wollongong Hospital for treatment.
The woman was arrested and taken to Lake Illawarra Police Station where she was charged with cause grievous bodily harm to person with intent.
She was refused bail to appear at Wollongong Local Court today
