Man bashed with a baseball bat by brother and ex-girlfriend while sleeping
A man’s ex-girlfriend and brother have been charged with allegedly breaking into his home while he slept and assaulting him with a baseball bat on Sunday.
The 26-year-old victim was asleep in his Lavington home when he was woken up by a man in a balaclava hitting him with a baseball bat at around 4am.
A struggle ensued and the armed man is said to have smashed a window with the bat before leaving in a car being driven by a woman.
The injured man was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital with a head wound that required stitches.
A man and woman, both aged 25, were arrested a short time later.
They have both been charged with special aggravation – break and enter commit serious indictable offence.
The pair is due to face Albury Local Court today.
