Man bashed, stabbed in the chest in front yard of Sydney home

A man has been bashed and stabbed in the chest by two males at a house in Sydney’s north overnight.

Police said the attack took place in the front yard of house on Romney Road at St Ives Chase just before 10.30pm.

Police allege two males approached the 49-year-old man, stabbed him in the chest and assaulted him before fleeing.


Paramedics were called and rushed the man to hospital where he remains this morning in a stable condition.

A crime scene has been established as the Romney Road address and detectives from Kuring-Gai LAC are investigating.
