Man bashed with hammer during all-in brawl

POLICE are investigating a major brawl between around 20 people that broke out in Sydney city early Tuesday morning.

Officers were called to Dixon Street about 12.40am to find both men and women involved in the scuffle.

One man had suffered a head wound when he was hit on the head with a hammer.


The man was treated at the scene before being taken to St Vincent’s Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

A number of witnesses have spoken to detectives at the scene as inquiries continue.
