Man beaten with glass bottle in home invasion

A MAN has been beaten over the head with a glass bottle in a terrifying home invasion in Sydney’s west.

Police said a man forced his way inside the victim’s unit at Carramar around 12.45am on Saturday.

Once inside the Denison Street property, the intruder allegedly attacked the 56-year-old male occupant with a glass bottle.


The victim sustained a head injury and a large laceration to his forearm in the violent attack.

He was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition.

Police said the man injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Detectives are now investigating the incident and searching for the intruder, who fled the scene and remains at large.

He is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance and aged in his 40s. He was wearing a black and red coloured t-shirt at the time.
