Man beaten unconscious in Tweed Heads home invasion

A MAN is recovering in a Gold Coast hospital with serious head injuries after being bashed unconscious during a home invasion at Tweed Heads.

Paramedics were called to Seymour Street around 7.40pm last night after the man was found severely injured near a unit block.

It’s alleged the man was in the garage of the premises when he was bailed up and savagely assaulted by two men.


Police said the man lost consciousness during the attack.

He was treated by ambulance officers at the scene before being rushed to Gold Coast University Hospital with serious head injuries.

The area was cordoned off, declared a crime scene and examined by detectives overnight.

Police are still searching for the victim’s attackers who remain at large.

Investigators would like to speak to anyone who heard or saw anything unusual in the area between 6pm and 7pm.
