A MAN has been airlifted to hospital with serious spinal injuries following a horror accident on the Georges River in Sydney’s south.
The 43-year-old was riding a jet ski along the river on Sunday morning when he lost control of the watercraft around 11:30am. The jet ski flipped, sending the man catapulting through the air.
He suffered serious spinal injuries and was treated by paramedics in the water before being airlifted to the Royal North Shore Hospital.

He was expected to undergo spinal surgery last night.
Officers attached to Marine Area Command established a crime scene and have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
