Man caught filming female colleagues in work toilet

A man has been charged after he was caught allegedly filming fellow colleagues while they were using a toilet at a business in Sydney overnight.

Around 10.00pm, officers were called to the business on Elizabeth Street in Surry Hills after an 18-year-old woman noticed a mobile phone in the toilet area.

Police seized and examined the phone, allegedly discovering that “several staff members had been recorded using the toilet facility without their knowledge or consent.”

It’s also alleged that the phone was used to film “up-skirting” vision of several female customers.

Police arrested the 23-year-old Hurstville man at the business and have since charged him with three counts of film person in private act without consent, and two counts of film person’s private parts without consent.

He was refused bail to appear in Parramatta Bail Court today.
