Man caught filming up schoolgirls skirts with ‘camera attached to shoe’

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was caught filming up the skirts of three schoolgirls in Burwood.

About 4.55pm on Monday 16 May, three girls, two aged 16 and one aged 13, were at a drinks kiosk in a major shopping centre when they were approached by a man who stood closely to them.

The man had an electronic device, believed to be a camera, attached to his shoe, and it appears he stood close enough to film up the girl’s skirts.

A witness, only known as ‘Clair’, who had a small female child with her, saw the incident and challenged the man, causing him to flee the scene. He remains on the run.

The man is described as Caucasian appearance, 25-35 years old, with a brown/ginger moustache, thick eyebrows.

At the time of the incident he was wearing a navy coloured t-shirt, dark pants, work boots, and an ‘Oakland Raiders’ baseball cap.

Police are also appealing for the witness ‘Claire’ to come forward, and tell police what she saw.
