Man caught indecently assaulting woman on Sydney train

A man has been charged with indecently assaulting two women after officer’s spotted him on a Sydney train and followed him to his next victim.

The plain-clothes officers were conducting a patrol at Chatswood Railway Station about 11am yesterday, Wednesday 4 November 2015.

They recognised a man as a person of interest in an investigation into an alleged indecent assault.

The officers followed the man as he travelled on trains between Chatswood and Town Hall Railway Stations. He was seen sitting next to a female passenger and allegedly indecently assault her.

Police arrested the man and took him to Ryde Police Station.

The man was subsequently charged with two counts of indecent assault and two counts of common assault.

It’s alleged the man also indecently assaulted a female on 9 October 2015 on a train from Central to Macquarie Park.

 

The 52-year-old was bail refused to appear in Burwood Local Court today Thursday 5 November 2015.
