Good Samaritan stabbed while trying to break up domestic fight on the Gold Coast

A 26-year-old man has been stabbed in the stomach while trying to break up a domestic fight on the Gold Coast.

It’s alleged a 44-year-old man was arguing with a woman on Brett Avenue in Labrador at around 4am this morning when the Good Samaritan approached and tried to intervene.

The 44-year-old man then allegedly stabbed the 26-year-old man in the stomach.


He was transported to the Gold Coast Hospital for treatment.

Police said the victim’s injuries were not considered life-threatening.

The 44-year-old Labrador man was arrested and has since been charged with one count each of wounding in a public place while adversely affected by intoxicating substance and possession of a knife in a public place.

He is due to front Southport Magistrates Court on Monday.
