A man who drove his car into a crowd of mourners at a funeral in far north Queensland, killing a woman, has been charged with further offences, including 26 counts of attempted murder.
Police say that at around 10.30am on Friday October 7, a vehicle drove into a home in the small community of Kowanyama where a large number of people had gathered for a funeral.
A 48-year-old woman died at the scene and twelve other people were seriously injured.

This morning, a 55-year-old Kowanyama man was charged with 26 counts of attempted murder, as well as one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
He has already been charged with one count of murder and is due to appear in Cairns Magistrates Court this afternoon.
