A MAN has been charged with assaulting a 3-year-old boy at a home in NSW on Monday.
Police allege the 28-year-old man, who occasionally resided at a house in Bomaderry and assisted the female resident with the care of her two young children, punched the child several times about 6.20am.
It’s alleged about 3 hours later, the man threw an object at the child and again punched him twice.

Police were contacted later in the day by the child’s mother and investigators seized CCTV from the home as part of their investigation.
Shortly after 10pm on Monday, police arrested the man after locating him driving a vehicle in East Nowra.
During the arrest the man allegedly struggled with officers and had to be restrained.
He was taken to Nowra Police Station where he was later charged with common assault (x2) and resist officer in execution of duty.
The man was refused bail to appear at Nowra Local Court today.
