Man charged after allegedly robbing Logan servo with a knife

A man has been charged over the armed robbery of a Beenleigh service station last night.

It happened just after 7pm at a petrol station on Logan River Road.

It’s believed the 24-year-old man entered business – allegedly armed with a knife – demanding cash from the cash register.

The attendant complied, and took money out of the register and placed it on the counter.

The man took the money and fled, though was tracked down an hour later in Edens Landing by the dog squad.

He’s been charged with armed robbery and will appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court today.
