Man charged after argument turned violent at Logan home

Police have charged a man this morning following a frightening home invasion in Slacks Creek on Saturday night that left two men in hospital.

It’s understood the man got in to a verbal altercation with the occupants of a Winani Street home and was thrown out of the home.

He’s then accused of coming back to the house a short time later, this time armed with a knife and a rifle.

A disturbance occurred and a 43-year-old Slacks Creek man and a 41-year-old Enoggera man were wounded.

The armed man then allegedly fled the scene.

Both victims were transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

As a result of investigations a 22-year-old man was taken into custody this morning at an address in Slacks Creek.

He has been charged with one count each of grievous bodily harm, unlawful wounding and going armed so as to cause fear.

He is due to appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on May 2.
