Man charged after assaulting woman with kettle

A man is due to face court today after allegedly threatening a woman with a hot kettle.

Police were called to a home in Howlong, north of Albury in NSW, around midday yesterday following reports of a domestic dispute.

It’s understood the man allegedly held a kettle to the forehead of the woman and made threats to pour water over her.


Officers found the man hiding inside the engine bay of an old vehicle in the shed and arrested him.

The 39-year-old was then taken to Albury Police Station, where he was charged with breach of bail, intimidation and common assault.

The man was also charged with acquire firearm part subject to prohibition order, acquire ammunition subject to prohibition order and resist or hinder police officer in the execution of their duty.

He was refused bail and is due to appear in Albury Local Court today.
