Man charged after huge haul of illegal fireworks found on Gold Coast
A MAN has been charged after police discovered a massive haul of illegal fireworks at a home in Highland Park.
Officers were raiding a home on Trafalgar Street as part of an ongoing investigation around 11am on Monday, when they came across approximately 600 individual fireworks.
A laser pointer, a baton, scales and a small amount of cannabis were also discovered.
A 27-year-old man has since been charged with two counts of possess restricted item and one count each of possess category H weapon, possess explosives, possess dangerous drug and possess utensil.
He is due to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on November 19.
