Police nab man over Oxenford hotel robbery
A MAN has been charged over the terrifying armed robbery of a hotel at Oxenford on Monday.
Around 11pm, three men wearing balaclavas, and one armed with a firearm, forced their way into the Maudsland Road business and threatened two staff members inside.
The men made demands for money and when a 62-year-old male employee complied, the trio fled the scene with a large sum of cash.
Following investigations, officers arrested a 36-year-old man from Adelaide at Beenleigh on Wednesday afternoon.
He has since been charged with armed robbery, fail to stop motor vehicle, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a dangerous drug and possession of a utensil.
He is due to face Beenleigh Magistrates Court today.
Police say investigations are continuing.
