Man charged after police find nunchucks, cannabis, firearms

A man’s been charged with various drug and firearms offences, after police found cannabis plants and nunchuncks at property in Far North New South Wales.

Officers executed a search warrant at a home on Charbray Place in Tyalgum around 9.00am yesterday.

They found several cannabis plants, cannabis leaf, three gel blasters, a handgun and handmade nunchucks.


A 35-year-old man was arrested at the property and taken to Tweed Heads Station.

He was later charged with several drugs and firearms offences including possess firearm, possess prohibited weapon, possess ammunition and cultivate prohibited plant.

He was granted conditional bail to appear at Tweed Heads Local Court on Monday January 6.
