WATCH: Man charged after Police van rammed by stolen car

A man has been charged after allegedly slamming a stolen car into a Police vehicle in Surfers Paradise.

Officers spotted a 2004 Honda Accord being driven erratically in the car park of a hotel on Fern St.

They deployed road spikes which the car drove over after spotting Police.

Despite all four tyres being deflated, the vehicle continued driving through the car park before crashing into the side of a Police van at the top of the exit ramp.

The male driver was arrested a short time later after a frantic foot pursuit through the car park.

The 26-year-old has been charged one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, wilful damage of police property, obstruct police, driving of a motor vehicle without a license, possessing dangerous drugs, possess utensils, possess property suspected of being acquired for the purpose of committing a drug offence and receiving tainted property.

He’s due to front Southport Magistrates Court on Monday.

Two women who were in the car were also arrested and are assisting Police with inquiries.

On reading the charges against him I would say he was possessed at the time of arrest

He will be out on the streets again, that is why they do not care. nothing happens to them.
Lock them up .
