A man has been arrested and charged over the shooting of a woman on the NSW Central Coast earlier this week.
Shortly before 11.30pm on Wednesday, police were contacted by medical staff after a 31-year-old woman arrived at Gosford Hospital with a gunshot wound to her right thigh.

Police commenced inquiries into the matter, with initial investigations indicating the woman was shot by a man at a property on Hillcrest Street, Terrigal, earlier in the evening.
Yesterday afternoon, police visited a property on Lisbon Way at Wyoming where, after speaking to the occupants, officers searched the property and found two shortened shotguns, a .22 calibre rifle and ammunition.
A short time later, around 4.40pm, police attended a home on Roselands Avenue where they arrested a 48-year-old man, and seized a revolver.
He was taken to Gosford Police Station where he was charged with reckless wounding and numerous firearm offences.
Bail refused, he was scheduled to appear before Gosford Local Court today.
The injured woman underwent surgery earlier this week and remains in hospital in a stable condition.
