A MAN accused of committing a shocking sex attack on a woman old enough to be his mother in Sydney’s southwest has been arrested and charged.
The 22-year-old is accused of ambushing the 49-year-old woman in Liverpool on Sunday night, November 12.
It’s alleged the woman was struck from behind and violently sexually assaulted while walking through a park on Moore Street around 10.30pm.

After the assault, the woman took herself to Liverpool Hospital where she underwent a thorough examination.
Police were called and established a crime scene at the park, which was examined by specialist forensic officers.
Detectives from Strike Force Tokanue arrested the 22-year-old man at Macquarie Fields Police Station last night.
The Liverpool local was charged with aggravated sexual assault and inflicting actual bodily harm.
He was refused bail to appear in Campbelltown Local Court today.
