Man charged over alleged sexual assault of girl at youth camp

A man has been charged with allegedly sexually assaulting a teenage girl at a youth camp in Sydney’s south west.

Police have been told between 2014 and 2015, a man, who was a leader in a youth group, allegedly sexually and indecently assaulted a teenager member.

In April 2016, a 17-year-old girl attended Narellan Police Station to report the assaults.


Following investigations, about 5.30pm yesterday, officers located a 35-year-old man at a business in Gregory Hills.

He was arrested and taken to Narellan Police Station where he was charged with procure child for unlawful sexual activity, two counts of aggravated indecent assault of victim under 16 and under authority, three counts of aggravated indecent assault of victim under authority of offender, and sexual assault victim under authority of offender.

The man was granted conditional bail and is due to appear before Campbelltown Local Court on Monday 25 July.
