Man charged over alleged threats to harm woman, 5-y-o girl

A 48-year-old man has been charged after an alleged disturbance in Burleigh Waters on Sunday afternoon.

The man attended the Broadbeach police station and has been charged with two counts of acts to cause grievous bodily harm and one count of breach of a domestic violence order.

He is expected to appear at the Southport Magistrates Court on November 23.

The woman and child were not physically harmed during the incident.

Gold Coast detectives have named a man wanted over alleged threats to harm a 43-year-old woman and a five-year-old girl at Burleigh Waters on Sunday.

Police say he went to a unit on Bottlewood Circuit on Sunday afternoon where he allegedly made threats against the woman and child who he knows.

They were not physically injured during the incident.

Police say anyone who see the man should not approach him but should immediately call Triple Zero.
