A man’s been charged over the armed hold-up of a post office just north of the Gold Coast on Thursday morning.

It’s alleged a knife wielding bandit entered the business on Kingston Road, Slacks Creek and demanded money from staff at 10:45am.

He stole cash and ran off.  Several people gave chase, a 66-year-old Springwood man, confronted him and was allegedly threatened with the knife.  He was not hurt.
