A man has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly repeatedly stabbing his wife during a horror domestic in Sydney’s south-west.
Police said that just before 2.00pm on Thursday, emergency services were called to a home on Polding Street following reports of a disturbance.
Upon arrival, officers found a 53-year-old woman suffering numerous stab wounds.

The woman was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Liverpool Hospital under police escort.
She remains in a serious but stable condition.
A 60-year-old man, who police say is the victim’s husband, was arrested at the scene.
He was taken to Fairfield Police Station and charged with attempted murder and wound with intent causing grievous bodily harm.
He has been refused bail to appear at Fairfield Local Court today.
