Man charged after Australian man dies in bar brawl in Thailand

AN American man has reportedly been charged after an Australian was killed in a violent brawl in Thailand.

Local media reports that Jose Manuel Polanco Jr has been charged with manslaughter and is due to appear in court next week.

Mr Polanco allegedly approached 43-year-old Benjamin Robb at a bar in the notorious red light district in Pattaya.


Mr Robb is reported to have been thrown across the bar, punched several times in the face and stomped on at least 10 times before being left unconscious.

He was rushed to a local hospital, however died shortly after.

The American national initially fled the scene before later turning himself into Thai Police.
