Man charged with breaching AVO and attacking his former partner in NSW

A MAN has been charged with breaching an AVO and attacking his former partner at a house in Sydney’s west.

Police were called to reports of a domestic violence-related disturbance at the Crawford Street home in Berala just after 11pm on Saturday.

Officers found a 43-year-old woman inside the house with a serious head wound.

She was taken to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.

A 43-year-old man, believed to be the woman’s former partner, was arrested at the scene and taken to Auburn Police Station where he remained overnight, assisting police with their inquiries.

He was due to appear in Parramatta Bail Court this morning, charged with breach AVO and reckless wounding.
