A man has been charged with several offences including allegedly punching and choking a police officer during an arrest in Sydney’s north west yesterday.
Around midday on Thursday October 27, a 43-year-old man allegedly broke into a home on Bowman Street in Richmond, assaulting a 20-year-old man and leaving the scene with cash and property.
Police spotted the man leaving the house following a number of tip-off’s, and attempted to arrest him.

It’s alleged he punched and choked a male detective sergeant and managed to run away before being caught by other officers soon after.
He was taken to Windsor Police Station and then to hospital for treatment.
Once returned to police custody, the man with charged with eight offences including aggravated break in, assault causing bodily harm and many others.
He was refused bail and will appear at Penrith Local Court today.
