Man charged with child exploitation after detectives raid WA home

An Australian man is due to face court today charged with multiple child exploitation offences.

The 63-year-old was arrested on August 4 after detectives executed a search warrant on the man’s North Yunderup home, seizing a computer and electronic storage devices.

An investigation into the man was launched after the Joint Anti Child Exploitation Team received reports of child exploitation images being posted on the internet.

The man has since been charged with two counts of Possession of Child Exploitation Material; one count of Use Carriage Service to Distribute Child Exploitation Material; one count of Visually Record a Private Activity; one count of Indecently record a child under the age of 13 years, and one count of Use an optical surveillance device to visually record a private activity to which he was a party.

He is due to face Mandurah Magistrates Court today.
