Man charged after crocodile head found at home in Innisfail

A man has been charged after a crocodile head, drugs and weapons were discovered at a home in r Eubanangee, Innisfail.

The 60-year-old was arrested on Thursday, after detectives executed a search warrant and discovered a crocodile skull, weapons, ammunition, and a small cannabis crop.

Police say they cannot confirm whether the skull belongs to a headless crocodile which was found in a creek north of Innisfail on April 23.

The Eubanangee man has been charged with three counts of unlawful possession of weapons, and one count each of producing dangerous drugs, possessing dangerous drugs, authority required to possess explosives, possessing anything used in the commission of a crime, and restriction on taking a protected animal.

He is due to appear in the Innisfail Magistrates Court on July 10.
