Man charged after explosives found during raid on Sydney home
Police have discovered a range of explosive devices and prohibited weapons during a raid on a home in Sydney’s north yesterday.
Around 12.45pm, officers arrested a 44-year-old man in St Ives. Further inquiries lead police to execute a search warrant at a home on Jimada Avenue at Frenchs Forest.
During the raid, police allegedly uncovered an explosive device, electronic control devices, crossbows, throwing knives, sling shots, laser pointers, a dart gun and ten brass knuckles.
The man was charged with 13 offences including four counts of possess, supply or make explosive for unlawful purpose; possess prohibited drug, and eight counts of possess or use a prohibited weapon without a permit.
He was refused bail to appear at Manly Local Court today.
