Man charged following act of indecency and child approach on train

A man will face court today after allegedly making indecent comments to a woman and approaching a girl at a railway station on the Central Coast last week.

About 9am on Friday (21 August 2015), a 37-year-old woman was waiting on a platform at Fassifern Railway Station, when she was approached by a man.

The man allegedly made indecent comments before the woman moved away from him and reported the incident to station staff.

Shortly after, the man moved to another platform, approached a 14-year-old girl and spoke to her.

Feeling uncomfortable, the girl sat near another couple when she boarded the train, and called her father to report the incident.

Police were contacted and the man was arrested a short time later by officers attached the Police Transport Command at Morriset Railway Station.

The 34-year-old man was taken to Wyong Police Station and charged with commit act of indecency, two counts of intimidation and breach of bail.

He has been refused bail and is due to reappear at Wyong Local Court today (Monday 24 August 2015).
