Man charged after guns, meth found in car in Wagga Wagga

Police have uncovered a frightening stash of drugs and guns in a car during a traffic stop in Wagga Wagga.

Officers stopped a car on Bourke Street in Turvey Park around 3pm on Tuesday.

Following investigations, officers searched the car and the three male occupants.

During a search of the vehicle, it’s alleged police found an air pistol, a replica revolver, ammunition and drugs believed to be ‘ice’.

One of the occupants of the car, a 31-year-old man, was arrested and taken to Wagga Wagga Police Station where he was charged with two counts of possessing a firearm, possess prohibited drug and breach firearm prohibition order.

He was refused bail to appear at Wagga Wagga Local Court later today.
