Man charged with hindering murder investigation

A MAN has been charged with hindering an investigation into the murder of a man in Sydney’s CBD late last year.

Police found the 44-year-old victim’s body in an apartment on Kent Street just before 7am on November 16.

Detectives from Sydney City Local Area Command and State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad established Strike Force Polock to investigate the death.

Following extensive investigations, a 56-year-old man was arrested at Day Street Police Station yesterday morning.

He has since been charged with hindering the police investigation. He was granted bail to appear before Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday 28 September.

Three men and a woman have previously been charged with various offences in relation to the murder.

They are all scheduled to appear before Central Local Court on Thursday 27 October.
