Man charged over indecent assault of toddler at fast-food restaurant

A man has been charged over the alleged aggravated indecent assault of a child at a Sydney fast food restaurant yesterday.

Police say that around 3.30pm, a 29-year-old man walked into a restaurant on the Hume Highway and headed towards the toilets.

As he walked past a child that was sitting in a high-chair he allegedly put his hand between his legs and touched him inappropriately.

Police were called to the restaurant and viewed CCTV footage before arresting the man and charging him with  aggravated indecent assault.

He was given bail to appear in Liverpool Local Court on 1 August.
