Man charged with indecently assaulting woman twice on Sydney train

A man has been charged with indecently assaulting a woman twice in two days on a train in Sydney’s west.

Police said the alleged assaults occurred on Tuesday 7 June and Wednesday 8 June.

The first allegedly took place at around 8.15am on a train heading toward Lidcombe.

The woman told police she noticed a man stand directly behind her and felt him touch her on the bottom.

The following day, the woman boarded the same train where it’s alleged the same man slid his hand up the inside of her thigh.

The woman pushed his hand away, exited the train and alerted authorities.

The 37-year-old man was arrested just after 8am on Friday and taken to Auburn Police Station where he was charged with two counts of assault with act of indecency.

He was granted conditional bail to appear at Burwood Local Court on Thursday 30 June.
