A man has been charged with manslaughter over a fatal crash at Burbank, south of Brisbane last year which killed an elderly man.
The 32-year-old Moorooka man was allegedly driving along Mt Cotton Road on May 21 2016, when a piece of metal attached to the truck’s trailer struck a car driven by an 80 year old man that was travelling in the opposite direction.
The car veered off the road and went down an embankment before stopping.

The driver of the car, a Thornlands man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accused will face the Brisbane Magistrates Court today.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
