A MAN who allegedly opened fire on a tyre business in Melbourne, shooting one man dead and wounding another, has been remanded in custody, charged with murder and attempted murder.
The Westwood Drive business at Ravanhall was sprayed with bullets shortly after 2pm on Friday.
Ahmad El-Chakik, 40, is accused of firing the volley of shots into the business from his white ute.

Two male employees aged 40 and 36 were shot multiple times in the attack.
Both men were rushed to hospital were sadly the 40-year-old died from extensive gunshot wounds.
The younger man was shot in the legs and remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Mr El-Chakik handed himself into police shortly after the shooting and has since been charged with one count each of murder and attempted murder.
In a brief hearing on Saturday morning, the accused gunman’s lawyer claimed his client had been set upon by the two victims earlier in the day and was injured as a result, sustaining bruising to his torso, jaw and forehead.
The 40-year-old did not apply for bail and was remanded in custody ahead of a filing hearing on Wednesday where it’s expected he will reappear via video link.
