Sadly, despite the desperate efforts of both police and paramedics to save the man, he died at the scene.

A 34-year-old man was arrested nearby a short time later and charged with one count of murder.

He was remanded in custody to appear before Elizabeth Magistrates Court tomorrow.

Elizabeth CIB Detectives said the incident was not a random attack.

The stabbing came just hours after another man was stabbed to death in a separate attack at a house in Dover Gardens.

An 18-year-old boy was arrested just after midday today in relation to this incident.
