Following investigations, strike force officers, along with the South West Metropolitan Region Enforcement Squad, raided an industrial property on Garema Circuit yesterday afternoon.

A number of items relevant to the investigation were seized, including a firearm and ammunition.

A 45-year-old man was then arrested a few hours later at Tregear.

He was taken to Mt Druitt Police Station and charged with one count of murder and multiple firearms offences.
