Man charged over $5 million fraud
A MAN from north of the Coast has been charged over a fake superannuation scam that robbed Queenslanders out of over $5 million.
Police allege the 47-year-old from Shailer Park defrauded approximately 40 people out of $5.23 million over a period of time.
He’s accused of luring clients to invest money in a fraudulent self-managed superannuation fund over before blwoing the money through gambling.
He will appear in Cleveland Magistrates Court today on 49 counts of fraud.
